“Phoebe” was Calico’s pick puppy back from a litter out of Mallorie (CH Calico’s Stuck With You CDX OAJ OA) the foundation for Catera Field Spaniels. Mallorie’s first litter bred to Tristan produced one beautiful girl, Rachel. We could never have taken the one girl, so we waited patiently until Mallorie was bred to Roger in 1998. At that time, Karen Balinski, of Killara Field Spaniels, expressed an interest in Calico Field Spaniels for a showgirl with performance talent. We offered Karen our pick bitch and that is why Phoebe carries the Calico prefix. Phoebe is definitely an “American Beauty” and earned her Championship in style shown by Becki, Kylie and Karen.
